Overall purpose of role
The quantitative analyst will conduct research and development in various stages of e-trading activities and
contribute to the development of signals, trading strategies, pricing, hedging and portfolio management
activities, and pre/post trade analytics. Ultimately the purpose is to create best in class the business logic
and models underlying electronic liquidity offering to clients and the associated analytics. This would involve
the full chain from defining the problem, metrics to quantify the solutions, hypothesizing solutions, testing
and validation, implementation, productionisation, monitoring and support.

Skills and attributes for success

• Excellent analytical, project-management, communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills
• Direct experience in utilizing Valuation techniques and methodologies such as Purchase Price Allocations (PPA) Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income Approach, market comparable, etc. in a business valuation firm or practice or in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, national valuation firm or experience working in a corporate finance role for an organization, preferably for M&A activities
• The ability to work within a given budget and schedule, providing top-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Advanced knowledge and experience in any of the following sectors will be added advantage – 
  Financial Services, Oil and Gas, Technology, Consumer Products, Power and Utilities and Life 
  Science 

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A post graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (CA) or Business with related work 
  experience 
• A minimum of 8 -10 years of relevant experience with a national valuation firm or accounting firm’s valuation practice, or in investment banking, private equity/venture capital, financial research or corporate finance role for an organization
• Achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA, ASA, APA or related certification is a plus, with an expectation of the completion of one certification within a given timeframe

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience leading team of 20+ professionals
• Proficiency in tools like Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau etc
• Experience in making presentations and leading business conversations with global executives

Job requirements

To qualify, a candidate must have:

• An advanced degree (masters or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis or equivalent experience. Typical candidates will have at least 15+ years’ of industry experience

• Achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA, FRM, PRM or PMP designation is a plus

• 5+ years’ experience in leadership role, setting-up and expanding service delivery teams, driving transformation and innovation, and achieving challenging growth targets

• Experience of managing senior stakeholders and exposure to global set-up

• Proficient in using data and information to draw insights, along with ability to present a compelling story through impactful presentations and visual tools. Preference to those with strong data analytics skills

• Strong communication and influencing ability
